The school

The school is already teaching. What opens in 2028 is the large building, and it is stated here as a dated plan rather than as something that already exists.

Today

Two air-conditioned rooms, used for this and nothing else. A camera and light for recording interviews. A library people can borrow from. The rooms stay open outside class hours, because almost nobody has a place at home where studying is actually possible.

2028

The campus

A building of its own in San Blas, built for this: enough rooms for several groups to run at once without crowding each other, an interview lab with several booths, and study space open all day.

  • One room per group, because nobody practises speaking in front of a room that intimidates them
  • A recording lab for interviews, with several booths
  • A library and study room open outside class hours
  • A room for the long Saturday block

Who runs it

Over a decade at sea. German, and the route ran from the navy to cargo ships and then to cruise ships.

Became the youngest chief engineer in the fleet, responsible for a hundred people, on a new-build: the most advanced ship delivered in Germany that year.

The school knows the work because it did the work: what the ships are like, what the contracts say, what breaks people and what carries them through.

It knows the cruise lines from inside and still knows the people who hire. That is what you buy alongside the English, and it is exactly the connection you are supposed not to have.

This is not a course written by someone who read about the industry.

How you get in

You message admissions and we tell you straight whether this is for you. In the first month we check the seafarer medical, your record and your passport, before serious money moves. If something stops you boarding, you find out in week three and you paid for three weeks, not a year.

Message admissions

We answer on WhatsApp, usually the same day.
